Safety Guidelines

Our strength is in our unity, joy, and peace. Protests can sometimes draw agitators—from drive-by hecklers to organized counter-protesters—so please stay aware of your surroundings and notice early signs of escalation. The best response is to not engage.
If you notice a conflict:
- Stay calm and composed.
- Alert the marshals (yellow vests) at the first signs of trouble.
- Do not engage with those involved.
- Step back and encourage others to move away.
- Let the marshals handle it.
Why this matters:
- If we lose peace, we lose momentum—and possibly our permit.
- The City of Beverly allows us to police ourselves if marshals can maintain order.
- Following marshal instructions keeps us all safe and protects our right to gather.
